Can anybody advise please?

Loaded Helicon Remote. Seems to be running OK. Connected Canon EOS 1100D. Helicon Remote recognises camera. But from here I can't do anything - no connection to Live View, unable to take images etc.

Reset camera to factory settings, and followed camera setup instructions for Canon in the Help section as best as I could understand.

Same camera using same same cables etc, to PC running the free DigiCamControl software, this all works fine, but keen to use Helicon Remote instead.

Any suggestions appreciated! Thank you.

First of all, make sure DigiCamControl is never running at the same time as Helicon Remote, and same goes for any other software that can detect the camera (Lightroom, Capture One, Canon EOS Utility etc.). Connect the camera first, close any pop-ups, completely exit all camera-related programs, and only then run Helicon Remote. If that doesn't help, please send a bug report (menu - Help - Report a bug) after encountering an error (e. g. when the camera is connected but nothing works).
