Hello,
I consider to buy a new Mac for Image processing work and think about a Mac studio with M2 processor.
Does Helicon Focus work well on the M2 processor?
How about the GPU options? Is there a limit of GPU cores used by Helicon Focus?

Hello Andreas,

It works well, but GPU acceleration is not yet supported on some M2 variants, we don't have a full picture at this time. There is no limit on the number of GPU cores we can use as long as it works at all, which is not always the case.

Does "not yet" mean, that full support will come sooner or later or is there a possibility that GPU acceleration might be permanently blocked on these M2 machines?

We will definitely get it working, there is no reason for it not work, we just need to figure out the peculiarities of the new M2 systems.

Is this resolved yet? I am almost ready for an M2 Max Studio, 64GB and 30 GPU cores, and will definitely want full hardware capabilities.
