Failed to create dng file from raw using Adobe Converter

Hi,

I am using Helicon Focus since quite some time now and never had issues with it, until I reinstalled Windows 11 some days ago.

I switched my Boot drive to a new PCIe4.0 nvme M.2 SSD with 1TB and 7400r/6600w.
I have installed Windows 11 completely from scratch with a bootable USB and installed all drivers, Helicon 8.2.2.0, latest Adobe DNG Converter and also the latest Adobe Camera Raw.
Since then I get an error message when I try to stack the .ORF files from my OM-1. This was working perfectly fine before the reinstallation.
It is not happening to each stack but for sure every second one, independent of the number of shots I select, it sometimes happens at the first image or sometimes at the 50th.

Now I also found out that the files in the cache folder are sometimes .tif and some are .dng > see screenshot.

Error message: Failed to create dng file from raw using Adobe Converter

Things I have done already:
- reinstalled Windows 11 3 times again!
- downloaded the latest CPU chipset driver + latest Nvidia driver
- installed Adobe DNG converter 16.1 + Adobe Camera Raw 16.1
- reinstalled Helicon Focus several times
- checked the correct DNG folder is selected in settings
- OpenCL is activated
- changed cache save location to different drives

Computer Setup:
- Ryzen 7 x5800x
- Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 10GB
- 64GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM
- 4TB PCIe4.0 nvme M.2 SSD

I am really frustrated and running out of ideas.
I would be grateful for any help available.

Best Regards, Manfred

Hi Manfred,

Please send a bug report (menu - Help - Contact support) after the error occurs. I have no idea what it could be, though. The symptoms are typical for a RAM shortage, but I don't imagine you're running out of 64 GB. Either way, a support request will help.

Hi Catherine,

thank you for your reply.

I have attached the Log Report.

Things I have also tried yesterday:
- I downgraded DNG converter from 16.1 to 15.3/15.3.1, but still the same

Might it be related to the virtual RAM (windows page file) space on the SSD that it is to less? I checked it and it is currently set to 9216MB.

Thank you and best regards,
Manfred
