Issue with Save file

When I save my finished picture to .TIF, it will not let me reopen the file in either photoshop or Lightroom. Photoshop gives an error that says the file has an unsupported bit depth. Occasionally it will open the file but all I can see is a few wispy, almost painted lines. Also when I save to .JPG at highest quality I get a washed out picture that is nothing like the quality of the finished product being shown in Helicon.
Edit: using a MacBook Pro M1
Thanks for your help

Many programs don't support images with 10/12/14 bit depth, or any other non-round number (i. e. anything other than 8 or 16 bit). Right-click any of your source images (in the stack that gives this error) -> Image info. Check the color depth, the second number (after the slash).
As for JPEG - apparently there's something wrong, JPEG should always work. Can you send me any one of your source files from this stack? You can deop it here, into our
private file storage.

Thanks for the reply.
The color depth is 96/32. At what point is this assigned that I can fix it? Uploaded the .jpg along with a screenshot of what the finished product looks like in Helicon.

Photoshop doesn't like the 32-bit image, so you have to convert the result to a different format (16 or 8 bits).
I don't understand what the uploaded JPG is for, JPG files can only be 8-bit. I was asking for your 32-bit source image so that we can reproduce the problem and fix saving to JPEG.
What's your version of Helicon Focus? You can see it in the window title bar.

Changing to 16 bit fixed the problem. I'm not as concerned about the jpg issue.
Thank you so much for your help!

Glad to hear you've sorted it out. Could you please tell me which version of Helicon Focus you're using? It's in the window title, or menu - Help - About.
