Multi Camera Support / License Question

I'm looking to build a multi camera rig that also supports focus stacking for photogrammetry.

Is there a way to use Helicon with multiple cameras? Can I simply start it multiple times on the same machine? If not do I need a full license for each camera?

You can't run multiple instances of Helicon Remote, you can use multiple cameras from the same instance. But I don't think either is actually going to be very useful. Let's say you could start it multiple times, what would you then do with it?

Licensing is not a concern, licenses are not bound to your cameras. If you bought the software, you can use it however you like.

Thanks,
If I understand your comment correctly you can pick between different cameras but not control multiple cameras at the same time, right? I need to control them at the same time. It's a photogrammetry rig (to make 3D models) with multiple cameras that shoot simultaneously.

I could also use a CLI but in any case the cameras need to take pictures in sync (because of the light/flash system).

Would it be allowed to use Helicon on 8 different computers (one for each camera) with 2 licenses or would I need 8 (one for each camera)?

The alternative would be to use external tools to trigger the shutter and only use Helicon for the processing of the files - in that case I would only need a single license and import all images from different cameras.

You can use a single instance and have different cameras do something independently of each other, pretty much like you could with different instances each controlling its own camera. We can also make a custom version for you that will let you run multiple instances in parallel. But if you're going to use a whole separate computer per camera, then it's not needed?
I'm still not sure how you're actually going to use Helicon Remote in this setup. Automate clicking the buttons/hotkeys with something like Autohotkey? The cameras will never be truly in sync.

The license is single-user, which generally means that one computer at a time is allowed, but here an exception obviously can be made - it's not 4 different people using it.
