I've come to really appreciate having the ability to apply a crop when outputting stacked RAW images (or DNGs) a a DNG file and it has occurred to me that there's no other software around that does that. With Lightroom or other RAW editors the DNG outputs don't have the crop applied to them and I can't find any similar tool around.
Would it be possible to have such a tool either separately like the 3D Viewer or included into Helicon Focus like the Panorama tool, just to crop a RAW or DNG file and save it as DNG?
It would help with saving a lot of storage space, especially for nature photography where cropping is frequently used anyway.
Suggestion: dedicated crop tool (for RAW to DNG / DNG to DNG)

Thanks for the suggestion. Helicon Focus can only process and save interpolated (demosaiced, debayered) files, so it's not entirely a lossless process.
We'll think about what we can do. It's not such a simple application to make from scratch, even though we already have all the pieces.
