remote worked just fine until I installed the latest update. I get the message that it can't start because EDSDK.dll is missing. I reinstalled and still have the problem.

Which OS version do you have?

Do you install program under user with admin rights?

I'm using Windows 7. Since I wrote my email I uninstalled the update and reinstalled the previous version, and it worked fine again.
No I did not install as user under admin rights.
