I have installed the latest Beta version of Helicon Remote in windows 7 .. I have a Canon EOS 400D and when launch it it detects my camera. When I try to click on the Helicon Remote menu to take a picture, I see "busy" on the camera Lcd display flash, but nothing is recorded on camera or the computer. I have checked the preferences menu in Remote, to make sure the setting are correct. Do not see anything out of place. Will appreciate it if you can advice me on what is the reason the 400D does not capture images with Helicon Remote. :?: thanks.. regds. NOSH.

I am not sure if 400D has enough functionality to support all live view operations. The simple check is to try Canon EOS utility: if you see live view there and can make focusing steps in live view mode, then our program should be able to do the same.

I would ask you to send us ([email protected]) log files which you will find in Helicon Remote\Prefernces\Tools section.

Unfortunately, no Liveview before the 40D (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos40d/page10.asp) and 450D (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos450d/page10.asp), after a first implementation in the very expensive EOS-1D Mark III.

If there is no Live View, then there is no way to move focus from PC. Sorry.
