try posting again without log

I'm typing this in word pad since the Forum works as poorly as Helicon Remote. This way I can copy and paste it in rather than having to retype everything when the Forum deletes my post when I click "post".
I have the latest release from a few days ago. At least now the program will recognize my camera but freezes and everthing "grays out" when I click "Start Shooting".
I have wasted two days trying all different configurations
Canon 5d Mark II Latest firmware installed.
Windows 7 64, 6 gigs of ram and quad core processor.
I am going to copy and paste my log file since the "upload attachement function will not work.
The users guide could be more in depth. My watch has a more extensive guide.
Getting very frustrated.

Forum: every post from new users appears in the forum only after our moderator approves it. That is the most reliable way to fiter spam.
Canon 5D MK II : we constantly test Helicon Remote with this camera . What firmware do you have? 2.0.9? Please Send us a bugreport from Helicon Remote\Menu\Help after it crashes again.

Yes I have the latest firmware 2.0.9. Finally got it to work on my Desktop but tried it on my Dell Inspiron Laptop (CORE i3 Processor and 6 gigs ram) Win7 64. It will not recognize my camera. Same problem I had with my desktop in the beginning. I posted a log from the bug report from that computer. I installed the latest version of Helicon Soft which fixed my desktop but no luck with my laptop. Redownloaded it again today and reinstalled with no luck.
Now that it works on my desktop I love the program but never in my life have I had so much trouble getting software to work. I really need this to work on my laptop because my main use is wildlife photography

I was reading more posts and in one you told someone to make sure that the lens was set to "autofocus". I'm using the same lens - Canon 100mm EF 2.8 Macro. Strange because the program started working for me when I turned Autofocus OFF!
With Autofocus on the program freezes, turn it off on the lens and the program works fine (it autofocuses even though it is turned off on the lens). I beleive they were using a 7d.

Thanks for this information. This is very strange and I hope that your log would tell us the details. One more thing to check: recently we had very strange problem with the camera and it turned out that USB cable was the problem.

I've tried using other cables - no change.

We will send you a link to the most recent version which we are testing internally. I would appreciate if you test it.
