Hello
I've only just downloaded Helicon Focus/Remote and am getting VERY mixed results. I shot a stack last night of my computer desk using a Canon 7D + Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 ultrawide, set at 11mm @ f8, and was pretty impressed with the results.
Today I've just shot the "Hallway" stack with exactly the same set-up, and the result is a disaster. There are moire/blotches/digital artifacts all over the entire image, and the area to the right, the reflection of my computer desk and the window behind it in a full-length mirror, is simply a mess.
Does anyone know what's happening here?
Thanking you in advance
Paul
Moire, blotches, image artifacts...
Re: Moire, blotches, image artifacts...
Okay, it would appear the problem was with me. When I shot the original Stack I left the camera on Aperture Priority, so the shutter speed was variable.
I shot it again today and set the camera to manual, with an aperture of f8 and shutter speed of 1/40th of a second; the result, no artifacts, including the reflected PC and window!

Yes, the problem was with brightness too different between shots.
