X Lion

I have just upgraded to OS X Lion on my Mac Pro
I had Helicon Remote on the Mac Pro with Snow Leopard & it worked just fine with my Canon 5D Mark II
the upgrade was a full clean and install - after which I downloaded new versions of Helicon Focus & Remote
now the Remote exits before fully booting when connected to the 5D
any suggestions?
ps I also have a Rebel T3i which exits in the same way but saw your note about that camera - I'd like to be on the tester's list for T3i support
thanks
Scott

Scott,
Please try new Beta version:
http://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/He ... teBeta.dmg
In case of crashes and misbehavior please send us bug report (menu\Help\Report a bug). This would help us to locate and fix the bug.

this version does not crash (Mac Pro, Lion and Canon 5D Mk II)
but the display says "live view is disabled" - the program goes right to that
screen and stops
where it used to pop up a box that said something like "initializing Canon camera"
same result with Canon T3i

I clicked on report a bug - a bug report window popped up
I filled in my email address & added comments & left the attach log checked
and clicked on OK - but it did not send - the window stayed open
attached is teh log

I just noticed that there was a pull down list that showed my ipod (which is also connected to the machine) - I checked and it
also showed the canon - switching to the canon got remote to show the live view
remote seems to work - it is running a stack now - but it seems a lot slower than it used to be (slower to move the focus point,
slower between shots)

tried with Canon t31 - started up OK but then remote quit after starting live view on the camera
I restarted remote and got the dialogue box about the last version quitting improperly and
asking if I wanted to send a report - I said yes & got the bug report window - which worked the
same as the last time - I filled every out and clicked on OK and the report did not get sent
(as far as I could tell) - I'll cut & paste the log here

Thanks for testing. About the speed: change pause between focusing steps, right now it is set to fail safe value.
Logs: The one you posted contains only program settings but no log data. Please repeat the experiment and then send us full log file to our email.

We will send you newer version via email. We also test the program under Lion (not VM), no problems so far.
