Help, new user

Post by Guest »

I've been using Helicon Focus for a while but today ran into something I've not noticed before. I have a new MP-E 65mm lens and a twin ringlight and was taking pictures of an african violet. When I ran the stack through Focus Everything was fine except for a halo around the stamen. Here is an example: http://www.hali.org/StackedMacro/Stackwithhalo.jpg Camera is on a tripod and I'm using a macro rail, inside so there shouldn't be any movement. What is the halo from and how can I get rid of it (other than cleaning it up in the software with the retouch)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Please upload this stack to our server (as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp.html) and we will have a closer look.

I would try method C from the latest beta version and would make sure that no part of this flower was moving.
