Is anybody using either of the two latest versions of HR (2.4.4.W and 2.4.0.W) successfully with an EOS 1100D? Neither version will enter LiveView mode for me.

The older ("unsupported") version (2.3.12.W) works fine. The Canon EOS Utility works fine.

Please send bug reports from Helicon Remote to our developers, they would be happy to fix this ASAP.

I did that a couple of weeks ago! Alex has being trying to fix it, but no luck so far. I guess he doesn't have an 1100D that he can test with?

Yep, we do not have this camera for tests. I will ask Alex to prepare a test version for you to pinpoint the bug.

Any progress with this problem? I downloaded the 22 May version, but it still doesn't work! I really would like to use HR/HF

We're actually not sure if we have defeated this problem completely or just made it happen less often. Please try the new version: http://downloads.heliconfilter.com/Heli ... 6_2012.zip (unpack it to your Helicon Focus folder)

I'm afraid that version is even worse

It doesn't enter Live View at all, and when I press Preview it just takes images repeatedly.

Please reproduce the problem and send us a bug report (Helicon Remote menu \ Help \ Report a bug) with a short comment ("doesn't enter live view" will suffice).

I've found that it wouldn't enter LV because I had the camera set to "auto" (green rectangle on the mode dial). Switching it to one of the "manual" modes lets the camera enter LV OK. But ... if I press the LV button to exit LV mode (so as not to overheat the sensor) it goes crazy! I've sent a debug report, but it looks like the old 2019/9110 problem once more. So, partially fixed, but not completely

Can't you just put it back to how it was in the old version - that worked fine! And one could use the auto modes too!

No, we can't go back to how it was. A lot was changed, and, believe me, for a good reason.
