Helicon Remote problem

I installed the latest version of Helicon Focus on my laptop (Acer TravelMate 800 with ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 video card). Helicon Focus works, but Helicon Remote will not, it displays an error message "graphic card does not support requested features". When I try to restart the program it displays a message titled Abnormal termination detected and asks if I would like to report the bug. I have done so.
I have the latest video drivers installed and I know that an earlier version of Helicon Remote did work although I don't know which version it was. Can anyone offer any assistance please?
