New feature : Zero noise photography

By carefully doing some 3 or 4 exposures at different settings you can ensure there's no noise at all in your picture. In a single exposure there's noise in the shadows.

Helicon remote could do the shooting, and helicon software compute the final image.
and why not combining this with focus stacking

Yes, we plan to add HDR processing to Helicon Focus. Helicon Remote can shoot stacks with combined exposure and focus bracketing now.

Stas,
This is not HDR. It's zero noise photography. The goal is not to expand the dynamic range (though a combination could be great), it's to have the least noise possible in each tonal range.
Yes that's looks a lot to HDR, but the goal is different. So please re-read the given links.
Of course you HDR news is great !

It is different processing indeed, but it doesn't seem to be different from HDR when shooting, you can still use Remote's HDR shooting tool to obtain a set of pictures with desired exposures.

Absolutely, but what could be added to helicon remote is a "Zero noise" profile, that would calculate what exposures, and how much frame needed itself. So we just press the zero noise button and then Helicon remote does the rest (captures optimized for zero noise in mind)
Also, the zero noise processing software is lacking, would be a great addition to helicon

Just bought helicon focus and installed remote app on my smartphone. loving it, and cannot wait to have hdr feature added! meanwhile, how are people doing this...combining focus stacks with hdr?

Adding HDR support to Focus is in our plans for the near future.
For now, combine each sequence of source images with the same exposure into a single image with Focus (i. e. 5 stacks and 5 resulting images if you are doing 5-way HDR), and then copmine these images into one with HDR software. Don't do the other way around, result may be worse.

I believe there is a discussion relevant to this in David Busch's Nikon D7000 Guide to Digital DSLR Photography . Initially, it wasn't clear (to me) what he was talking about since he subsequently talks about bracketing for HDR.
And, just to make life interesting, he subsequently talks about doing Multiple Exposures in-camera with the D7000. But after comparing his discussion with what's being discussed in the reference articles in this thread, I don't believe that's relevant.
