Image size error (even copy of itself)

I allowed Helicon Focus to update and now I am experiencing the error stating image sizes are not the same or are not equal (CR2 RAW only). I tried previous stacks done just before updating and none of them work now and as a test I tried a picture and a copy of itself (so identical) which it still says are different.

I've reset to defaults, tried different RAW converters. I did notice that Helicon Focus was showing 100% view magnification but the image displayed in the preview window was tiny so I suspect there is something wrong with the RAW filter handling now.

Program version V5.3.11 x64, all images shot using Canon 6D and helicon remote.

(edit: Just tried a set of shots from my old 50D, RAW format, taken long ago and definitely worked before, and they too produce the same error).

(edit 2: Installed Beta v6 which doesn't cause the file anomaly error but now images are purple tinge, indicative of the dynamic range being crushed. I've seen that behaviour in incorrect RAW conversions with other programs)

Please make sure that WIC support is disabled for RAW files. If this does not help please send your RAW file to our ftp server as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp-server/

Aha, fixed! Excellent. However turning off WIC in Win7 64Bit isn't that easy. I couldn't find the appropriate references in REGISTRY i.e. completely absent by any name I could find used, not in office etc either. In the end I manually stopped WIA from loading as I know that sits atop it this appears to have worked.

Alas it didn't fix my issue with HDR Express 2 at the same time where I guess a similar issue is occurring. Mind you, with this information at hand it gives me a starting point to probably solve that too.

Cheers, Stas. Once again good support service!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Not sure if you're aware about the security question asking how many planets there are. It wants you to put 9 but lately they removed Pluto as a planet and so it's now 8. Probably heard this one before but may as well tell you anyway. I sat there for a bit before I thought to enter 9 and just test it out.

Cheers, Rex.
