We are using Image-Pro Plus software, version 7.0, on box running Windows 7.0, 64-bit, to capture stacks of images that we want to pass to Helicon Focus Pro. Unfortunately, tiff files saved in Image-Pro (with or without LZW compression) will not open in Helicon. In fact, they lock up the program which must be rebooted. If we use an image utility to batch convert the files (open them all and save again as tiffs), they open in Helicon just fine. Anyone encountered this problem before?

Please send us one of those files (as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp-server/) and we will check what is happening.

Many thanks for offering to look at these files, but I think I have solved the problem. We were saving files in ImagePro Plus as 36 bit color (12 bits per channel). Helicon will open files at 8 bits per channel, or 16 bits per channel, but not 12. Photoshop opens the 12 bits per channel files ok, but treats them as 16 bits per channel. Mystery solved.
