Hi,

Helicon seems to be able to create a depth map.
It would be usefull to have it in a alpha channel of the saved image. We may use it for creative purpose in photoshop afterwards

Thanks

Yes, like adding out of focus effect to the EDOF image:) You can import depth map later if you want to create such effect. Right now I can't imagine why this could be useful.

How can I import later the depth map ?
Creative use : to blur specific part realistically. Don't underestimate creative people they'll find a way :)
Can also be a way to sharpen add contrast far away mountains in landscape etc.

I am not sure how, but one can definitely load mask or alpha channel from file in Photoshop.
