zooming and panning in live view

Hi,

I just tested Helicon Remote for Android with my Samsung Tab3 and my Nikon D5200/WU-1a. Everything runs just fine and smoothly, I only had problems defining a zoom window on the live view screen. The zoom window was always far away from the spot which I had tapped. And I didn't find any way to pan or scroll the zoomed view to the part which I wanted to see. Did I miss something?

Thank you and best regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

You should be able to pan the window by touching the screen with your finger and dragging, and zoom with 2-finger pinch zoom gesture. But more importantly, the original position should be the point where you've tapped the screen, since it's not - there might be an error somewhere. Please check if the pan / zoom gestures work and we'll investigate it.

Hello Stas,

unfortunately the "jumpy" behaviour is reproducabel. zooming with 2-finger pinch zoom gesture does indeed cause the software to zoom into the picture, but it ALWAYS shows a completely different part of the screen than that which I showed. Panning does not work at all in most cases, but in one of ten times the software does pan, but the direction of the pan is completely different from what I showed.

Regards
Tom

I did test the Samsung S3 phone via USB cable. Zooming and panning on the S3 behaves exactly weird as on the tablet.

We're working on a new version that should be reading for early testing soon, let's wait and see if the problem is still present there. Right now I have no idea what's wrong. Although, there's a slim chance it might be related to camera body settings (in which case resetting settings will help). But that's a very slim chance.
