Galaxy T3 7" - no remote app available

Tried downloading helicon remote to a new 7” Galaxy T3 - got an error message saying the system was not supported. I WAS able to download and use remote to an 8” T3.
I’ve returned the 7” and have an 8” on order, tho I’d much prefer using the 7”. I believe the operating systems were different between the two but can’t remember the version numbers.
Is there an issue w/the 7” T3?
