I have a small question concerning the lightroom plugin. I can not find it in the documentation, so I thought I'dd ask here.

I was wondering where the tiff files go that you export to helicon.

I'm not particularly interested, but since they are tiff files they can become extremely large so I'm mostly wondering if these files are removed automatically after use?

Are they send to the temporary windows folder?

Lightroom decides where to place temporary files. The program deletes them after they are not used anymore. You can find the path to the files if you right click source image in Helicon Focus and check file information there.
