Is the Stackshot controller required to run on Helicon Remote or can a USB cable be connected to the Stackshot stepper motor directly as with the Trinamic motor?
You need the control box to use Stackshot.
The cable is not connected directly to Trinamic stepper motor, it's connected to the control circuit board that's mounted on the motor's body.
