When I review the stacked image, the magnifying glass starts at 100%, and then moves in random moves to 200% and then 300%. What rules govern this and can I set the glass to 100% permanently?

Magnification level is controlled by mouse wheel. If this is not so, please give us more details, it might be a bug.
