Which StackShot option to go for?

Hello everybody!
Nice to join the club!
I have a beginner's question, of course: the feature description of the HR reads: "Helicon Remote is now able to use burst/serial shooting mode of the camera for continuous high speed shooting together with continuous movement of the camera on the StackShot rails".
The StackShot rails comes in several options, I am asking about two alternatives: 1) the $299 one (just StackShot rails); and 2) the $549 one (StackShot rails with controller). I am not able to add urls, but it is on "cognisys-inc" page, folder "store", document "focus-stacking" with appropriate name extension.
Now, the question is: if the HR software can provide the full control of the StackShot rails (as I interpret the quote from the features description above), is there anything the $549 option would do whilst the $249 option would not?
What I am trying to get at with the macro images is fine close-ups like the popular these days insects or alike (in terms of getting as close to the object as possible whilst the object is not necessarily 100% steady).
Thank you!
