I am using the remote software to set up a series of focal planes, and then I execute the program. I see that it is properly going through each focal plane, but then when it sends the signal to the camera to shoot, the camera autofocuses the same spot over and over. Basically, at the last minute, the camera's built in autofocus is overriding the last focal input.
Now, if I use the Canon EOS Utility software, and I essentially do the same thing manually, it works fine. The problem is that each focal plane has to be done one at a time, which is quite slow and tedious. I had hoped I could find a work around by the Canon software first, setting the camera to manual focus within that software, and then starting the Helicon Remote software. Unfortunately, the instant Helicon opens, it force closes the Canon software, and I'm right back to square one.
I'm assuming this issue is related to HOW the Helicon software tells the camera to take the picture. Is there any known workaround? (Btw, I have the latest firmware on the camera.)
Thanks for the help!

Re: Rebel T2i Focus Problem
Please make a sample stack and send us bug report after that. Canon uses two different methods to trigger camera, we need to check that we are using the correct one.

Re: Rebel T2i Focus Problem
Has a solution for this been implemented? I'm planning to buy the the Helicon Focus Pro X64 software when the software change automatically move the focus point to create the stack.
