License per computer / not user ?

Post by serge »

Hi,

Thanks for all this. I have purchased the software yesterday.

Now another question : the registration requires a computer ID, no problem, but also a user ID.
I intend to install the software on the computer at our lab, just close to our microscope. It is a common computer/microscope, with a software running the microscope.
This will be the only computer on which the software will run (1 license).

But I want to be sure that my colleagues that will log on this computer with their own ID will access to the helicon software with no problem.
I am afraid that the software will work only with the account of the guy who activates it (me...). Do you confirm ?
If it is the case, how can I do ?

Thanks
Best Regards
Serge

The license is bount to computer, not the user account. This means that you can use the same code to activate the program under different user accounts. Or you can activate it under Admin account and then the program will be available for all other users. Alternatively, copy *.hky file from your user folder (like "c:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Helicon) to folder with HeliconFocus.exe
