My Demo time has ran out and the Helicon Focus text appears in processed images. I would like to purchase the software but notice that despite me instructing the software to operate at 100% resolution the final image resolution reduces to 72ppi! The original images for stacking are approx 18Mbyte files with a resolution of 300dpi. Original images are taken with Canon EOS 7D in RAW format (.CR2 files). IS there any way to resolve this problem? If not, I doubt I will buy this software which otherwise seems very impressive.

Re: Resolution
Helicon Focus (for Windows) tries to set user defined ppi (see Prefereces\Autoadjustment\) but for some formats (PSD) it fails. This problem will be resolved in the next major version which is due in couple of months. Please note that ppi has no affect on actual resolution of the image.
Please also note that unregistered version after trial period downsizes resulting image to 4 Mpixels, though this has nothing to do with ppi issue.

Thanks Stas, Please let me know when the next Helicon Focus is issued. There seems little point in buying now only to pay more for the imminent upgrade. Norman
