Firstly - thanks you for making such easy to use and effective software solutions!
Obviously the stacking solutions can be applied to many industry sets and uses, but commonly it will be used by studios or customers for product image photography.
In an ideal world studios would be perfect enviroments with perfect artifact artifact free backgrounds - consistant over exposed background lighting etc. Unfortunately this is not the case. As a result to maintain a perfect images on a clinical white background we find ourselves cutting images in photoshop.
Based on Helicon stacking technology princliples we are wondering, if the platform could be developed to have the following work flow -
* Take an image of the background pre-product placement
* Add the products to the enviroment
* Run normal image series
* Helicon software stacks all the images containing the products
* Helicon software overlays the images pre-product placement with the stacked result and looks for differences (the artifacts). Helicon automatically removes all differences, which essentially would be the action of cutting the image out of the background.
This would literially save hours of post image editing.

Re: Stacking Concept To Remove Constant Background Artifacts
Thanks for this interesting idea. I think this should not be a part of Helicon Focus but rather a new application which simply creates selection based on images with object and without object. I am not sure how good this will work with white or overexposed backgrounds (these are hard to align).
