Nikon D5200
Hi, any timeline on support for the Nikon D5200? I'm ready to buy the pro software, but it won't work for me until it can drive my camera. Thanks.

We're working on it. Which operating system do you need Remote for?

Re: Nikon D5200
Hi Stas,
First up, thanks for your immensely fast help. It made my day.
The camera is recognised, but I'm having a couple of issues. The preview is very noisy/JPEGGy, and hard to pick out the focus points on. Also, the actual shots are completely black even though it seems to be seeing everything in the live preview. I've tried shooting JPEG and then RAW with the same results.
Apologies if these are user errors, but I'll continue playing to see if I can get it working.
Many thanks!

Re: Nikon D5200
Is it your first Nikon camera? Live view image of Nikon cameras is of relatively low quality (only 640x480 resolution).
Nikon cameras don't have live view exposure simulation. It means that the camera attempts to normalize live view picture brightness so that image is clearly visible in low light and bright light conditions, regardless of camera settings. Which, in turn, means that you cannot use live view to adjust final exposure, you need to use preview for that.

Hello Stas,
Thank you for your fast answer.
I have installed Remote ver.2.6.3w.
I can't register me.
I'm work in limited functionality.
What can I do?
I have notices:
The auto focus work very slowly.
And Remote ver.2.6.3w reports often "contact lost with D5200".

Re: Nikon D5200
There is a slight problem with updating the text in window title. It will say "Limited functionality" after registering, even though registered successfully and all features work. Restarting the program should show that it's registered.
Please reproduce the problem with D5200 and send a bug report (Help->Report a bug) with a brief description of what you were doing when the problem occurred.

Re: Nikon D5200
Hi Stas,
I followed your advice and have been getting good results. Thank you.
I bought a Focus Premium license, and tried a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 running ICS. The D5200 is not being recognised when connecting via the Nikon wireless adapter. Is this support on the way, or do I need to use a different configuration?
Many thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
It is on the way but not present in the release version yet. What kind of wireless adapter do you have? At the moment we can only claim to support Nikon WT devices, not WU that we haven't tested yet.

Hi Stas,
I'm using the WU-1a. I'm happy to test it when the update is ready.
Best,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel, we'll ask you for a test once the wireless support version of Remote is ready.
