Helicon Focus 4.2.9 consumes high CPU when idle
After having performed a stack, once it finished Helicon Focus will consume high amounts of CPU, jumping between 0% and 600% continuously even though it is not processing anything anymore. Clearing the source and target images makes no difference. This is on Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

Re: Helicon Focus 4.2.9 consumes high CPU when idle
I'm having the same problem with 4.2.9. I've downloaded 6.0.0 beta, and now it works fine. After rendering the CPU usage goes down to 0.2 %.
How long will the beta version work? Alternatively, will there be a free official update for the 4.x.x users fixing this problem any time soon?

We do not plan to support 4.x version anymore, we plan to make a release of version 6 soon and you are welcome to test it.
