Helicon 3D not saving
When it comes to save a Helicon 3D file, the program locks up with the latest version 5.3.7.1. i reloaded the earlier version and it worked ok. it is definitely a prblem with the latest version.

Re: Helicon 3D not saving
We cannot reproduce this error in our environment. Does it happen even on demo images?

Same issue here. I tried with the sample images (moth eggs) and it's the same. I can't save anything in 3DViewer. The save dialog can't be closed, I have to kill the 3dviewer process from the task manager. I use Win XP SP2.

You are also welcome to try latest beta:

Re: Helicon 3D not saving
I, too, am having the same problem (I wrote to you about it in email support).
You sent me the 6.x beta to try.
I tried it and unfortunately there is a problem with that as well - when saving a high res 3D model the file specified is nowhere to be found after saving.
I distinctly remember this working in the earlier release when I was testing your product a couple of months ago and I can tell you the problem I'm having is saving it in Highest Quality.
Can we get a fix for this please in the 5.x release?
Thanks.

Re: Helicon 3D not saving
Hello Christopher,
Sorry for the troubles. We were able to reproduce the problem with 3D model saving on Windows XP computer, it works fine on other systems. We will fix this bug in 5.x version a bit later, right now you can use older versions without this bug:
http://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/He ... s5.3.6.exe
http://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/He ... s5.3.5.exe
Our top priority now is to publish reliable beta 6 and we plan to do this in the coming days. Sorry again for delay.

Re: Helicon 3D not saving
Hi there,
As this is my first comment on this forum I would like to say that I like Helicon Focus and have got some good results out of it. However yesterday I upgraded from version 5.3.5 to 5.3.7 and found that. like some others, I could not save in 3DViewer, I had to use task manager to kill the programme. I also tried version 3.5.6 with the same effect. Reinstalling 5.3.5 fixed the problem.
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 2 on a laptop that is about 5 years old so I am wondering if it could be a driver problem. I know that there are some issues with the Intel 945 express chipset family used in my laptop so I wonder if it might be related to that. Unfortunately I cannot upgrade my system at the moment, so if it is that I will stick with 5.3.5.
On a second note, while I was looking for the solution to the probelm I tried running the 6.0 beta version but got the following message during installation:
'QtGui4.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error'.
More work for the developers i'm afraid.
Dave
