Hi,
I want to shoot tethered using LightRoom4 while seeing the live preview from my Canon 7D (on Win8 64bit). Both Helicon Remote and EOS Utilities take control of the camera when they are running and so I can't use LR. Is there a way to turn off the shutter control but still have the live view? Other work-around suggestions also appreciated.

Using Helicon remote for live view only

Re: Using Helicon remote for live view only
A followup: I can make LR4 "watch" a folder and auto upload images as they are taken, but it cannot watch subfolders. HFR apparently can only take images AND create a folder for them using the naming rules, which is at best then a subfolder in the watched LR4 folder. Is there a way to take images and have them saved to a folder that already exists? This would easily work around my problem.
best,
Kip

What you can do at the moment is set folder name template to a certain name (without actual templates) - it'll then be a fixed subfolder within folder for images.
For the future version we'll make it possible to set folder naming template blank instead (currently not possible).
