I downloaded the latest version of Helicon Remote 2.6.5 Unregistered (trial) version, connected my D800E to my Motorola Xoom running Andriod 4.0.4, started the app and turned on my D800E but all I get is "No Camera Found".
Any ideas?
Possible settings in camera or in the app needs to be changed?
I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.

Re: D800E Help
No, there certainly nothing that has to be changed in the settings. Are you using a USB OTG adapter? If you are, connect a USB mouse. Does the cursor appear on the screen?

Explanation on the USB OTG (On the GO)
The number 4 pin on the male connector on the micro usb needs to be connected to the ground.
Layout is such by pin:
#1 VCC / +5V / Color Red
#2 D- / Data - / Color White
#3 D+ / Data + / Color Green
#4 ... / ID / OTG Identification - HOST (Connected to Ground)
.../ ID / OTG Identification - Slave (Not Connected)
#5 GND / Metal Shell / Drain Wire
My supplier has said he can get some Micro USB Male to Female A USB at the end of May 2013, I send his info link (they are about 5 - 7 bucks each i think) when he gets some in, . I have a wired version (2" adaptor wire) which i plug my Samsung Note 2 directly to my camera (Nikon D-800E). I have an otterbox case, and wanted a hard plug that would fit in it. the incoming plugs fit perfectly with the oversized case as well as a plain phone.
he also carries right angle Micro USB 3 Cables to ditch the crappy plastic strain relief and has some nice strain relief that fit on the cameras as well.
the reason your camera wasn't seen was you have the wrong wiring in the adaptor (as explained above).

Re: D800E Help
Unfortunately, this is only one possible cause of the camera not being detected. The second is limited USB support in Android, hence the mouse test to find out.
