Remote hangs after selecting Start Shooting

Just obtained a Canon 5D Mark III and cannot get Remote to begin shooting. I've used Remote successfully with my previous Mark II, and am in the midst of an extensive project. Remote calculates the number of exposures needed. The camera clicks when I select "begin shooting" but no image is taken, the program freezes, and the "remaining images" indicator on the camera blinks rapidly. Any suggestions?

Please reproduce the issue and send us a bug report. There's really nothing we can advise having only verbal description of the problem.
