When retouching on a desktop computer I often use F9 in order to quickly select the source layer - which is easy with a full size keyboard with all keys available.
However on laptops (especially MacBooks) the F9 key can only be accessed via the Fn (Function) key, otherwise it will act as a multimedia button to control music/videos.
Due to the layout of most laptop keyboards that can only be done with both hands; so I have to pause, make sure I don't move the cursor (particularly painful when working on a graphic tablet!) and press Fn+F9. And when it selects the wrong layer I have to reposition the cursor and start the whole procedure again.
It's very tedious.
So it would be really good if there was an option to customise the hotkeys/shortcuts or assign regular buttons OR not use the "F" key for shortcuts at all. Even a lot of modern desktop keyboards will only make them accessible by pressing multiple buttons at once.
That would speed up editing on a laptop a lot(!)
Thanks!
