Recommendation for M1 Mac with macOS 12.7

Hello, I'm getting the common error "Failed to initialize OpenCL...". I am on macOS 12.7 and I'm not ready to update to macOS 13+ for a couple of months.

I updated from Helicon Focus 8.2.2 to 8.2.9, but both results in this error.

Is there another version of H. Focus that is compatible with macOS 12.7 on an M1 Mac?

What are the drawbacks of disabling OpenCL for Helicon Focus?

Hello,

It looks like we don't support macOS 12.7, only 12.6 (and earlier versions). 12.7 has been released after we upgraded all our M1 systems to either macOS 13 or 14, we're a small company and don't have enough M1 Macs to cover so many macOS versions simultaneously.

But just to double-check, please re-enable OpenCL and send a bug report (menu - Help - Contact support) after the "Failed to initialize OpenCL" message. Note that if you get the "Failed on previous launch" message you have to enable it again and restart Helicon Focus (and then get the "Initialization failed" message and send a bug report), otherwise we won't see all the necessary data about the issue.

The only drawback is that the rendering process will take slightly longer. The difference is not that big on an M1 system.
