M3 Max support

Post by onimusha370 »

Hey, just wondered when we might get support for the new M3 chips? Specifically interested in M3 Max... I'm on 14.1.1 and currently not able to use openCL hardware acceleration. Would be good to know when this will be added :)

Hi! This is, of course, something we should do, but right now I can't give a time estimate. Just to double-check, do you have the latest Helicon Focus 8.2.10?

Yes always using latest version :) Any update on when we can expect support for the M3 series?

Sorry, can't give an estimate right now, but hopefully soon. Now we know for sure we won't be able to support it until we buy the new hardware.

Okay thanks for confirming. I have to say it's really disappointing that almost 3 months after the launch of the M3 series there's still no update and no idea of when an update might be coming - appreciate the M3 MacBook Pros aren't cheap but I would have thought everyones subs would fund this sort of thing? Sorry if I've misunderstood how this works.

That is pretty much how it works, yes. We were waiting for Mac Mini with M3 because we really don't want/need a laptop, but there is still not even a release date for it, so yes, we are getting a Macbook.
