Hello.
I purchased your pro-lifetime version of your Helicon software and am having a lot of trouble with the panorama stitching of photographic segments from my microscope.
I find that in order to get anything reasonably close, I have to guess at the position of the photos in relation to one another. That is fine, however regardless of how close I get the software does a horrible job stitching them together. In most cases, the images could use a slight skew to align them but the software doesn't do that at all. It also doesn't seem to pick up on features between the two photos even when I place them rather close together.
My ability to manually align them myself is further hindered by the softwares overlapping method. Would be nice if you could onion-skin one of them so you could manually get it close to help achieve success. Perhaps even offer the user to manually rotate the images to help achieve a close match before the software would take over.
Regardless, I can't get this software to do anything near acceptable. I've been through the preferences and your help pages, and simply can't get this panorama to work for me.
Is what I'm trying to achieve even possible with your software?
Hope you can help.
Thomas
Problems with microscope panorama
Re: Problems with microscope panorama
Hello Thomas,
I think we need to see your panorama stack (source images) to see what's wrong. Can you give us a subset of it (just enough to demonstrate the problem)?
