Hello everyone,
I moved from a Nikon D850 to a brand new Nikon Z8. I am stuck because after I choose A and B points without any problem, during the acquisition the focus bracketing don't change focus point. I get all the images on the same focus point.
I have checked all camera settings, AF-S, lens autofocus, M mode, HDR off.....something else I should check? Any problems, reported?
thank you in advance,
Paolo

Hello Paolo,
Which lens is it? Do you use a mount adapter?

Hello and thank you for your answer. Tried both with Nikkor AF-S 105mm + adapter and with Nikkor Z 24-70mm..
Always having the same issue.

Re: Nikon Z8 does not move focus point
Start with the Z lens (the adapter might be causing issues). Lens must be in AF, full range (if it has a range switch), the camera should have AF enabled, only have the most basic mode. No AI / servo / continuous / tracking / face detection etc. That's it, this should be enough.
If nothing else helps, save your camera body settings to the memory card and reset the settings, try again then. Also make sure you have the latest camera firmware.

Ok, thanks, I am going to try.
BTW Can you confirm that Z8 works with 105mm macro (Z version) and Helicon Remote?
Thanks,
Paolo

Re: Nikon Z8 does not move focus point
We haven't heard about any problems with this lens, and any Z-mount lens should work fine. We don't have this lens so can't confirm that it works, but at the same time we're certain that it does.
