Lightroom - Collections?
All, my workflow...within Lightroom Classic, select my images within the focus stack, click "Export--->" then "Helicon Focus (DNG)"
I complete my stack in Helicon, Save the image, and then exit Helicon which imports the image back into Lightroom Classic, HOWEVER it does not import the image back into the Collection that I was working from, so then I have to go to the "Folder" directory within Lightroom, find the image stack, and then manually add it back to the collection from which it was born.
All other external editors that I use with LRC, automatically add the image back to the Collection as well (Luminar, Aurora, Photoshop, Topaz, etc.)...is there a setting I am missing within Helicon, or does this need to be added to the feature update list?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

The result is returned into the active catalog. We're not sure how it relates to or interacts with collections.
Are you exiting Helicon Focus? The result won't be imported back until you do.

Re: Lightroom - Collections?
yes, I am exiting Helicon, and it is importing back into the catalog, however it doesn’t stay automatically into the same collection, which means I have to exit the collection, go to the folder within the catalogue and then add it to the collection where the rest of the parent images are. Helicon is the only editing software that I’ve used that doesn’t also automatically add it back to the same collection from which it came.
Re: Lightroom - Collections?
We are looking into this, thanks for the info. I'll let you know once we think we have made progress on this.

Thank you Catherine!
Re: Lightroom - Collections?
Hello Scott,
It looks like we got it to work, please try the updated version of Helicon Focus (really the only thing changed is the plugin). I have sent you a download link in a private message.
P. S. I realized I sent you a Windows version, and we don't have a corresponding Mac version just yet, so let me know if you're on Mac.

Re: Lightroom - Collections?
Thanks Catherine, I installed the update, but the behavior is the same (not returning the image to the same collection)...do I need to manually update the plugin? I did exit LRC and PS before installing the update, and then restarted once the update was complete.
Re: Lightroom - Collections?
Sorry, yes, on Mac you do have to update it manually. I forgot about that. Quit Lightroom, then go to Helicon Focus menu - Preferences - Integration, click 'Uninstall" and then "Install". Now open Lightroom and try again. Also check the plugin version in the Plugin Manager in Lightroom, the new version is 1.3.0 and the old one was 1.2.0.

Re: Lightroom - Collections?
That worked!!! THANK YOU
Now...any idea when the update will be released to take advantage of the new M4 processors?

Re: Lightroom - Collections?
Do you have one already? If you do we could try something.

I do, just arrived today
Re: Lightroom - Collections?
Please try the current latest version of Helicon Focus (8.2.18), try activating OpenCL, it might work. And if it doesn't - please send a bug report after you get an error message (menu - Help - Contact support).
