Not Saving To Network Drives

Post by Whirl »

I have tried severals ways but I am unable to get the program to save any captures to a Network Drive or a Networks Shared Folder.
Is this a know issue or are Network drives not supported ?

Windows or Mac? Helicon Focus or Remote? Please show a screenshot of the error you're getting, assuming there is one. Don't crop the screenshot so we can see the program's window too.

I am trying to go from Windows to Mac using Helicon Remote

I am unable to attach a screen shot because when I attempt to attach one, I see this error. "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

In the Settings Page for Remote under Image Saving, I have this path /ians-imac/ian/Desktop
After taking the image, the file gets saved to the C drive on Windows under this folder path : C:\ians-imac\ian\Desktop and not on the Mac where I have told it to.

You need enter a Windows path to your remote share. Use File Explorer to find your Mac, navigate to the desired folder, and copy the address (it will start with \\). Maybe you just lost one of the two slashes. You can also mount it as a drive with its own letter and use that for path, but it should work either way.
We'll check what's wrong with image attachments, thanks for letting me know.

I tried your suggestion but that still does not work, the captured image still gets saved to the Windows C drive and not the Network share Folder on the Mac

Did you copy the path to your remote folder from File Explorer?
Try mapping it as a drive letter and using that for a saving path, that will 100% work.
