Possible to save retouched output image and restart retouching later?

Post by MichaelRyan »

Hi all,

Scenario:
I load a stack of images and render them to an output image.
I then start retouching the output image and spend 30 mins retouching.
I then need to stop and do something else. I don't want to lose my edits if the computer crashes etc so I save the retouched image to a file and exit Helicon Focus.

Question:
Can I come back later, load the source images and the saved retouched output image, and continue retouching from where I left off?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael, what you're looking for is menu - File - Save project.

You're a star Catherine! That's exactly what I want, thank you :D
I searched the Forum and a Google search before posting but nothing turned up.

Happy to help! And I would be more surprised if you actually were able to find it. Maybe we should add some different key words to this function's documentation. What search queries have you tried?

I didn't record my search strings but they were something like "Helicon Focus save output image and retouch later".

Makes sense, we'll add something like that into the documentation, hopefully Google will pick it up.
