Time to Open or export to Helicon Focus

Whether I am exporting from Lightroom Classic or just opening Helicon Focus on its own, it takes over 1 minute to get anything to happen. Is this just a matter of the application itself or something else? Maybe a setting somewhere that I am not seeing?

I was originally thinking it was an issue with LR but since the same thing happens when I try to open Helicon Focus on its own, I am thinking something else may be going on. It's frustrating because I couldn't tell anything was happening and kept trying to export. Helicon Focus finally opened, and I had multiple exports.

Is this on Windows or Mac?
Try to deactivate Helicon Focus (Ctrl+Shift+D/Cmd+Shift+D) and then register again (menu - Help - Register online - paste your activation code).

This is on a PC.

I did as you suggested but the results are the same. One thing to clarify is I can open Helicon Focus on its own as long as LR Classic is not active and it opens immediately. If I try to open while LR Classic is active OR export from LR Classic, the time to export or open Helicon is over a minute.

The issue seems to be related to LR Classic from what I can tell.

That is odd, because there should be absolutely no interaction between Helicon Focus and Lightroom (LR can launch Helicon Focus, and that's all).
Please do a quick launch of Helicon Focus and send a bug report: menu - Help - Contact support. Then exit Focus, do a slow launch (standalone, not as an export from LR), and also send a bug report once it's running.

I don't quite follow; what is the difference between a slow launch and I quick launch?

You said it takes a while to start Helicon Focus if Lightroom is running, but if it's not running then it's quick?
