Mac User getting no love

Post by UserDuser »

I'd be interested in the software if it were for Mac; right now the Beta for Mac crashes immediately. I didn't submit reports, figured it must've been tried by others. I'm using Snow Leopard.

fwiw - this program has worked very well for me on Snow Leopard and now on Lion
using a Canon 5D Mark II - what kind of camera are you using?

I would suggest reporting the bug - that is the way to get it fixed

(I have been having some problems with a Canon T3i but the latest beta is getting there)

Helicon Remote is Mac compatible, we get only a couple of similar reports. Does it crash even if the camera is not connected? Please contact us directly via [email protected] so that we can send you test versions to locate this bug.

I'm using a 5D Mk II. My trial version of Helicon Focus is said to include "Remote", yet I see no controls, nor menus, for anything pertaining to Remote. On the other hand, the Beta of Remote does now open without crashing, apparently because I no longer have a USB extension cord connected, but only the basic connection. There, in Beta of Remote, I have had success.

I have emailed support as requested.

Thanks

Hello John,

Thanks for your report. So the problem was with extention cable? You are right, we will integrate Helicon Remote into Helicon Focus application by adding a button in the toolbar and placing this application into Helicon Focus package.
