Hi,
I wanted to be sure that Helicon Remote could actually be used with the SX40HS as I had read that this camera supports live view... I cannot confirm it does so I decided I'd ask here to know if it is the program or the camera that isn't working.
The program shows the camera in the title of the camera settings, so I was hoping it would work. I sent an error report earlier today.
Regards,
Alex
Use of Helicon Remote with Canon SX40HS
Re: Use of Helicon Remote with Canon SX40HS
I received an auto-reply informing me that the camera is not supported. Is this due to it not having live-view, or just because it isn't yet supported...?

Canon DSLR line of cameras has different interface. It supports such functions as remote live view, remote focusing, etc. Other camera lines (PowerShot, etc) do not support such functions. If native Canon software can control your camera remotely than we can do this also, but most probably it is just impossible.
