Problems with Canon R5

Post by Miller-art »

Hi everybody,
I have problems with Helicon Remote and my Canon R5 (Firmware 1.7.0). I can see the live view, and if I take one picture, it often works to save the image on my computer, but not always. If I start a bracketing session with more pictures, pictures from the camera will not transfered to my computer (Windows 11). The folder is there, free disc space is enough. Sometimes ago, I've worked with a Canon 6D, 5D Mk III and a 5D Mark IV. All works fine.
I've reset my Canon R5, same problem. Check all cables and took new cables, same problem. Then I've installed Helicon Remote on a Laptop (Windows 11), same problem.
Hope you can help.
Best regards.

Update:

Hi everybody, I think, I’ve got it now.

1. I have to switch off LiveView during a bracketing session.
2. I think, it’s a faulty cable, too. Because it might be not be able to transfer the amount of data.

I’ve ordered now a new cable which will arrive on Wednesday.
Best regards
