Hi. New user having just downloaded Helicon Focus.
One issue I am initially having is that after rendering a stack of images, and then going to save it, I get the following error messgae...
Failed to write Image Metadata (file path). The file contains data of an unknown image type. Last error 0
I am using Canon CR3 raw files and converting using Raw-In-DNG-Out. Additionally, I only have the option to save as Tif and not DNG.
Win 10 x64 PC
Thanks for your help.
Metadata Not Being Saved
Re: Metadata Not Being Saved
Hi!
Saving to TIFF will generate that error, it's normal/expected and will be solved in the upcoming new version of Helicon Focus (not the very next one, but a big update that we're working on).
There is absolutely no way that you have .cr3 files loaded, RAW-in-DNG-out mode active, and you don't get an option to save as DNG. As long as you see this note in the top right corner just above the image list

you can select to save as DNG, which will save the metadata properly and with no errors.

Re: Metadata Not Being Saved
Many thanks for your quick reply. I've found the DNG save option now, and have tried it. It works nicely and saves the metadata along with the file.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
