Making use of 21:9 wide format monitors

I am considering getting the Dell U4025QW 40 inch 21:9 wide format monitor. When retouching, a thumbnail of the image is in a section that runs along the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to move that to the left side of the screen in order to have more of the image visible vertically, or move it onto a different monitor?
