Helicon Remote - Mobile

Post by klr-va0501 »

Camera is Canon EOS-R
iPhone 13
New user

I am able to connect via Wi-fi. When I open the app, things seem to work ok until I try to focus on two points. It will allow me to focus on the first point I select whether near or far, but when I try to select a second point, I am told that the two points cannot be the same. Not sure what else to do at this point. I've watched tutorials multiple time but cannot tell what it is that I am doing incorrectly.

Some further information. I connected to my iPad with a tether to try again. Same as with the wi-fi connection, I can select on the first point and lock it to "A". I then move to a point further away, focus in on it and select "B". Same message as before, "Positions A and B should not coincide.

You must navigate to the second point by using the <<<, <<, < / >, >>, >>> buttons in the app. Nothing else will work, and make sure to not move the camera, or rotate its focus ring, or perform autofocus after locking the first point. All focus adjustment must ONLY be done through the app. But you are free to do whatever you want before the 1st point is locked.
