Hi,
I used helicon remote with no problems using a canon eos M50 Mk2 before, on a win 11 desktop PC with USB connection.
Today, wanted to use it with a new camera, a canon R5 MkII, but this results in constant connection issues. Sometimes helicon remote works with the camera for a brief period, but never longer than a couple of minutes before either connection lost ; camera or software freeze.
first used version 4.5.3, then updated to 4.5.9 - still the same issue.
i already sent in some crash reports, but i'm hoping to hear if this camera is still problematic to connect - the issues that i experienced seem to have happened more often.
hope to hear from you soon, and hopefully these issues are fixed quickly.

Re: Canon R5 mkII USB connection problems
Hi,
I am having the same problems with my Canon R6 markIII. Once or twice i managed to shoot a stack of 20 files but most of the times the camera freezes.
I am hoping of a update soon so i can use this software again.
With kind regards

This is not a known issue, and we know for a fact many customers use Helicon Remote with R5 Mark II successfully. It's not that the software doesn't work with this camera at all.

The last time we spoke you said the update to Helicon Remote solved the problem. Is it not working again? If so, please send a bug report after the error occurs: menu - Help - Report a bug. More likely than not it's not the same issue. Either way we need to take a look.
